This is a great case & my 2nd one. The only negative is the shipping delays from Australia to the USA, but the case is worth the wait. That’s why 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Initially after ordering there was quite a delay before shipping … we did not know just how much went into this preparation, advice around this would have saved our anxiety. I previously bought a $240 handpan from Ebay (which looks to be the same as the ones on Amazon), and it did not sound well. Many of the notes were hard to strike, barely made a sound, and several overtones were out of tune.
The Mountain Rain handpan, however, sounds awesome for the price. I barely tap the notes and they have a beautiful tone and volume. Overtones are well-tuned too. I’m a novice handpan pan player so I didn’t want to drop a few thousand dollars on my first one, Mountain Rain is the best mid-level handpan I’ve seen/heard yet, and their customer service is awesome.

Be prepared to wait several weeks for your steel tongue drum! But it finally came and it is magical.

My 13 year old grandson absolutely loved his Christmas present this year. He actually left the room where the extended family was opening presents so he could go off in a room by himself to start figuring out how to play it. The sheet music is rather confusing, but he is enjoying the challenge of figuring it out.

Ordered a kalimba. They emailed me the next saying they didn't have that kalimba in store so I happy chose another one. I had paid for express delivery as I was traveling soon after so I paid for express delivery. It didn't arrive until after I was gone and the package was stolen so no idea how the kalimba was. No response from my last email to the company

This is a Gabonese Rosewood 21 Key Kalimba, solid wood. It sounds great, each note sustains for several seconds, I can feel the wood vibrating when playing. The contrast of the very high notes and the low resonant notes is quite beautiful. I like playing without any music score - Relaxing and with mysterious sounds. The keys were in-tune out of the box. Comes with a hard shell carrying case. Best point - the varnished wood body is very beautiful. Pleased with my purchase! Thanks.

I am new to the tongue drum and have really enjoyed the quality sound and craftsmanship of this drum.

After loving the 17 snare Lyre I decided to get the 31 snare version too. My first Kalyre was bought at a music store and I got this one directly through Hluru. I paid for fast shipping. That turned out to be not so fast(but may be the mail services fault, can’t check that). This model is quite heavy to hold. If that is an issue I can recommend to use a ukelele stand, which it fits perfectly and also gives you a good angle to play(see image). I have taken off one star, because the Kalyre arrived with completely overtuned snares; two snares immediately broke when I touched them. All of the snares were tuned at least 4 notes higher than their assigned notes. Please check this if you buy one too. Only one spare snare is shipped with the product, so I had to us another spare one from my other Lyre. I loosened all snares and then retuned the whole instrument. Now it is perfect and it holds it’s tuning very well and quick, compared to other snare instruments. This design is brillianty done and because of the chromatic tuning it will let you play a broad spectrum of music. So; big recommendation from me, but calculate some extra days for shipping and unpack extra careful, immediately check the tuning and give the snares some slack, if overtuned. Maybe Hluru can offer sets of spare snares or add a few more. I could not find them in your webstore.

I like my new drum! The scale is large enough to play a song but small enough for beginners like me. I really love the case it comes with too. It sounds different than I thought it would. Maybe the higher grade drums have a richer tone? I noticed that the low B on this drum vibrates a lot and it's a bit hard to hear the tone. I am very happy overall and if I want another tongue drum, I will be purchasing from you again in the future. Thankyou!

This is a wonderful little harpika. It is quite heavy, but that makes it’s sound so much more beautiful than in hollow harpika models. Tuning is not too complicated, you just have to repeat it during the first week and then it will hold up fine. I am taking off one star, because the metal rings at the bottom started to deteriorate, after a while. I have added pictures, so you can see what I mean. When you buy the harpika you get extra strings. Maybe the rings can be added too. Because I don’t know how the wood will hold up, in the long run. You can play this instrument with or without nails. It comes with picks and picktape. The picks are handy for tuning, but playing with them is not very practical. If you like playing the kalimba this harpika will be a beautiful addition to your practice. Compliments to the designer; I have now rdered a second one, with 31 strings and can’t wait to play it!

Did not know if I would like this lay out, but I love it! The kalimba is small and narrow and it is wonderful to hold. The sound is warm and relaxing. It plays like a 17 key kalimba, with the perks of a few extra often used notes. Smart thinking by the developer; well done!

If you want to buy one kalimba from the tree of life series, get this one. It is just such a wonderful instrument; the keys are very easy to play and the woodcraft and sound are just magical. It was the first one I bought from this series and now I am collecting the others too. Pieces of art to display, soft and warm to hold and play. Big recommendation!
